We are a young, growing, international, privately owned company. Since our start in 2008 we have grown into an organization with over 120 colleagues who work across the Netherlands, Belgium, the UK, Poland, the US and Japan.

Our mission is to accelerate the energy transition. We do this by organizing group buying projects for sustainable products such as renewable energy contracts and rooftop solar & storage and heat pump installations.

We are human centered, meaning that in everything we do, we look at the world through the eyes, hearts and minds of humans. This allows us to create the ideal customer journey for both consumers and our partners via our digital platform.

Since 2008 we have helped 2.5 million consumers to switch to a renewable energy contract and we have helped over 140.000 people to install a solar system on their roof and generate their own electricity.

We are embarking on a journey of global expansion, as we aim to accelerate the energy transition. Concretely, this means further international growth in parallel with portfolio expansion. Therefore, we are looking for a Chief People & Culture to guide our organization in this new phase.

What will be your role?

As Chief People & Culture you are part of our management team, where you play a key role in guiding our global expansion and portfolio growth. You will take the lead in building the people & culture capability to meet the organization’s needs. Together with your team you roll up the sleeves and you support employees and country managers as the company expands, while also attracting and retaining top talent. Your experience in international scaling and ability to develop new methods to nurture and develop the entire organization will help our sustainable growth.

What are your key responsibilities?

  • Own the P&C space: develop, shape and execute a people and culture vision and strategy that propels the company to scale internationally.
    • Set the direction and place people and culture at the core as we scale
    • Develop and implement the P&C tools & wow to facilitate our growth ambition
    • Communicate easily as you know it’s a journey you need to take everyone on
  • Enabling International growth / talent acquisition: with a strong growth ambition to speed up the energy transition, especially in the UK, USA and JP, and possibly other countries after 2023, we need to continuously strengthen and further develop our organization
    • Establish our employer brand to attract the best talent to take us forward
    • Ensure we find the talent we need to support our growth
    • Help shape our local teams in their different phases of growth
    • Take responsibility for compliance with local HR regulations
  • Preserve and enrich our culture: we work in a geographically spread organization with higher educated people, with the challenge to grow in number of people, countries, and cultures, and develop our organization to support the huge opportunities in different markets in the field of the energy transition.

    • Make sure behaviors, processes/systems, practices, and rituals line up with our values

Who are you?

  • You have experience in a similar role, where you have scaled internationally and know how it works;
  • You have a self-starter mentality with the ability to get things done with flexibility, curiosity and organizational savviness;
  • You are driven to make impact and to create a refreshing People & Culture approach combined with unparalleled execution power;
  • You have mature communication skills, you know how to get the message across;
  • You are sensitive to the different aspects of a multicultural organization, to cultural values and local cultural aspects.
